Getting a Library Card
Any resident living in the state of Iowa may obtain a library card at the Tipton Public Library.
Library cards are issued to individuals and are not transferable.
Teens who are age 14 and above are eligible for their own library cards. Children may have a library card that is attached to a guardian's account.
All applicants must provide photo identification and proof of current address.
If the applicant does not have proper photo identification and proof of current address, a "quick card" will be issued. This allows the applicant to check out any 2 items on the account. Once proper identification and proof of current address are provided, a standard library card status will be given.
